Obsessed with all of the petite call outs as a 5'0 girlie myself!!

Lindsay's avatar

I second this!!

So good to hear I'm not alone! I'm now wondering if it's worth it to create a petite deep dive or my go-to brands for specific petite-length items... the wheels are TURNING.

Vanessa's avatar

I third this! Petites unite!

Agree for the petites! Does anyone know if the la ligne satin pants lend themselves to being hemmed? My inseam is definitely not 30 inches!

Lexi Advaney's avatar

I ordered them at the beginning of the summer and unfortunately had to return. They could be hemmed at the bottom but the length between waist and inseam was far too long for my short torso!

Alisha Ramos's avatar

Good to know! I just ordered the petite Reformation pants and hoping they will work. So sad because the La Ligne looks so beautiful

Lexi Advaney's avatar

Agreed, they are BEAUTIFUL! I ended up with the petite version of these from J. Crew and am sooo happy with them! They're a bit higher waisted but after searching for years by far the best I've found and love how they look. https://www.jcrew.com/p/womens/categories/clothing/pants/relaxed/cosmo-cropped-pant-in-textured-satin/CN268

I ordered that too to compare with the Ref 😂 Great picks!

I’d love to see a little show-and-tell/mini review of things you’ve recently purchased! I’ve been curious about those brown Loeffler Randall flats you posted the other week.

Alisha Ramos's avatar

Thanks, I love this idea! Re: the suede flats, it’s been a little too warm here to wear them just yet (80s), but I’m hoping next week the temps will dip a bit…

Zac Posen is doing suuuch good work at Old Navy/GAP.

You've convinced me that I need silk pants!

I love (and pinned) your ideas for styling loafers with more casual looks. The maxi skirt/socks one is so great!

Maureen Wheeler's avatar

Great style ideas! I purchased some satin/silk pants from BR on sale for under $50 each and they are surprisingly amazing. If you’re shorter, get the crop length.

this is so fun!! do you have a fave pair of gold hoops to wear with the alex mill sweater?

Alisha Ramos's avatar

Thank you! Yes, I love my hoops from Jenny Bird. I have and like the Florence design, and I may get a more classic medium-sized hoop from them this year.

Loafers have been on my fall wishlist for a while now. Would love a report back on the GH Bass Wejuuns and their comfort level! Looking for something comfie I can wear all day at the office to lugging kiddos to/from daycare

Alisha Ramos's avatar

I’ll report back what I think of them!

I also have and love the Rothy’s loafers for ULTRA comfort, but I know that’s a completely different vibe.

Rachael B.'s avatar

I’ve had my Wejuuns for a few years. I live in a city and refuse to wear any shoe I can’t walk a few miles in. They’ve got such great padding which makes them ideal for this, but the leather is stiff so definitely some rubbing around the ankle for a few months. I wore them with socks for the first year and now they’re great!

Lindsay's avatar

So helpful! Did you go down a half-size like they recommend?

Ingrid Nilsen's avatar

I looooove the loafer styling examples!

Elizabeth Etherton's avatar

Reading this list makes me sad I live in the land of fake fall -- it's going to be in the 90s next week! I'm officially at the point where I'm yearning for sweaters.

Marni Alexander's avatar

Could you research a little and find clothes that fit tall women 59 and up who are long waisted, long arms and long legs nothing ever fits online

Alisha Ramos's avatar

Oh this is such a great question but I’m afraid I’m the least qualified to answer this q! I can point you to some tall friends who post about style ideas and tips: Becca Freeman, Maddie from Gems I Loved. I’ll keep brainstorming!

Kaity's avatar

I love the looks you find, but I can't afford any of them.

Alisha Ramos's avatar

I am so sorry, I know how frustrating it can be to click on something you love only to find it’s out of budget! For context I try to share a mix of high and low in my finds, as it accurately reflects how I am shopping now. I also try to share styling ideas rather than push the product itself, and offer alternatives. I’ll try my best to keep offering up alternatives at various price points!

Patty Barrett's avatar

if you right click "search image with google" a lot of affordable versions come up! or the Beni extension helps you find the look for less on resale sites. I just did that for a Sezane coat that was $455 but $250 on Poshmark.

Yes I want the classic ankle boot, but how do they work with the new pants trends these days?? (Also I’m a jeans kinda gal, so what jeans work best with these?)

Anddddd on a similar note, my BIG bold fashion choice this season, I’m looking into the classic ankle boot in a non-black color, like suede burgundy or chocolate brown. Any fashion tips for pairing, especially considering jackets, purses and belts?

Courtney Russell's avatar

Also since I’m reading g there’s a lot of loafer love, I have to throw in my FAVORITES, so comfortable, so well made, from

I’m inspired by these satin trousers and thinking “holiday party attire.” I may try and see if I can pull them off!

Jess Thevenoz's avatar

did you have good luck with reformation shoe quality? i find their shoes broke super quickly but I see you recommended them so wondering if it was bad luck for me!!

Alisha Ramos's avatar

This is such a good question and the honest answer is that I don’t know! I haven’t bought or tried these yet. Good to know about your past experience though.
