Rufi's quote HITS. My most cherished Saturday ritual is to work out, have an everything shower, wrap myself up in a fluffy towel, and read in bed until I fall asleep and reading turns into a nap. I haven't gotten to do this in a bit, might be time to do it this weekend!

I have a 3-month-old baby so my current luxury is getting out of the house alone, swimming laps at my local pool (truly so therapeutic) and then taking a long-ass shower under the high pressure shower heads in my pool change rooms to wash and condition my hair

Getting out of the house alone at that stage is such a *feat*. Bravo to you - love these.

my little luxury is cooking from cookbooks! I’m going to purchase a cookbook stand so that I’m more inclined to cook from them- I love that it’s another thing that I don’t have to rely so heavily on my phone for.

I was just thinking to myself this week that I need to finally acquire a cookbook stand!

oh! also nutmeg in my oatmeal- only a teensy amount, since we all know how dramatic nutmeg can be, but it’s a lovely change for fall

@allieback4, I am so excited for you to read Pride and Prejudice. There is an Audible version read by Rosamund Pike that is wonderful. Best listened to while going for long walks (as Lizzy would do). I had a hard time with classics in the past, but decided to read all of Jane Austen a few years ago and now they're my whole personality. She was such a FUNNY writer, and everything is oddly relatable considering we lived centuries apart... which is sad.

Also, you must watch the BBC version immediately after.

I am so jealous!!!

K, brb, off to buy some fish clips

My little luxuries live within my Friday morning ritual. I do a 5am workout, stop at the farmer's market right when they open and get some goodies for the weekend. Head home to an everything shower and my husband making breakfast that we try and eat outside together before the workday. As if there aren't enough reasons to be happy it's Friday, right? :)

Lofi girl is SO GOOD! There is a medieval one that is hilarious yet absolutely delightful. It paired perfectly with the renaissance faire romance I was reading at the time!

So excited to see Lofi girl here!!!! To combine with the earlier topic of reading and naps, I often fall asleep on a Saturday afternoon reading and listening to lofi. Coffee shop radio is another fave: https://www.youtube.com/live/mwPR8aizAyo?si=stpql2AxSJpDYTEp

My husband is busy tonight, and he was apologetic, but in my head I cheered because I immediately tee'ed up my perfect luxury evening after putting my toddler to bed this Friday night: cooking myself dinner w/ a great glass of wine & finally watching a movie that I wanted to watch but he didn't (His Three Daughters) over said dinner.

Getting to catch up on all your shows and movies is hands down the best part of a partner being out of town for sure. Hope you enjoy your cozy night to yourself ✨

My little luxury this week: I saw my dog enjoy the sunshine, I got a vanilla latte this morning, and I started a couple of new books. I also went to bed early for me last night, and got some really good quality sleep.

Oh I also saw that Galaxy Quest is back on Prime, so I'm going to relax and turn that on this evening maybe, and play Disney Dreamlight Valley or work on designing a home in Animal Crossing.

I have two little luxuries today:

1) enjoying a tahini swirl brownie (recipe is Mediterranean Dish and it’s hands down my favorite brownie recipe of all time) with a hot cup of coffee for breakfast, and

2) hanging up a fancy car fragrance (“sea salt surf”, wood, cream, jasmine(!)) in my recently detailed car that is finally free of the one trillion crumbs from my children (IYKYK).

Haha - the crumbs, oh it’s always the crumbs! For us, it’s cheerios absolutely everywhere right now. And the tahini brownie sounds so so good with coffee.

My latest luxury is ordering my morning latte FROM THE CASHIER rather than on the app (which I usually do since I'm always in a rush to grab and go). Next level luxury: walking to the coffee shop rather than driving. Most supreme luxury: sitting down and sipping at said coffee shop. Ah, the romance of a do-nothing-coffee-shop-morning.

Loving your little luxuries inspiration here Alisha, and reading everyone's below.

Feeling fired up (or chilled down) for some early-to-bed-with-a-book evenings as the cosy nights draw in 🍂

Mine is waking up around six so I can have 2ish hours of quiet me time before hubby wakes up.

I feed our delightful animals then sit by the window, drink a London Fog and read while petting my cat who sits in the window and get squishes from the dog who cuddles up with me on the couch. It’s heaven
